Description
Ce-Lit Cylinder Block Repair is a thick liquid, red/brown in colour, which finds and seals internal and external cracks in water jackets.

Product Overview
The formulation is well established and has been used successfully for many years and has provided repairs for many thousands of vehicles.

The product is based on a material that initially stems the flow of liquid at the coolant leak point and a second material which then hardens in contact with air and in the presence of heat - a permanent repair is thus effected. Also included within the formulation are an 'on shelf' preservative, a dye and the balance is water.

Known Issues
This product will react with many antifreeze materials commonly found in cooling systems therefore all antifreeze must be completely flushed away prior to repair. When this reaction happens the mixture will form a precipitate which can vary on composition, particle size, texture and hardness.

These precipitates are capable of blocking water channels in the engine and radiator cooling systems.

It is also known that the product will react with oils and can cause severe damage to the engine if it is allowed to mix with the engine lubricant.

The dye is included in the formulation as it provides an early indication that mixing has occurred. The oil should be changed immediately if this occurs.

Caution
After repair, thoroughly flush the cooling system with clean water including the heating system (until water is no longer red in colour).

Do not use antifreeze for 3 days after repair
